when you open the glove box, pinch the left and right together at the top and it should give a little bit, letting the whole thing fall down a little bit more, after that it should just pull out towards you.

I haven't done it for a while but here goes...

        1. Take the passenger side scuff plate and kick panel off, not sure if this is required but makes access to the engine bay grommet and wiring much easier.

        2. Undo the screw on the bottom black panel above passengers feet, pull that down to unhitch the clips at the front then take it off completely. this exposes 2 screws attached to the bottom of the glove box, take them out.

        3. Take the "trim" strip off above the glove box (open glove box first then grab end of trim near door and give it a firm but steady pull working the clips out one by one towards the drivers side, it's quite hard the first time but gets easier), this exposes the 2 screws above the glove box, take them out.

        4. Finally pull the front side of the end dash panel out towards the door (the panel with the no child seat logo), you don't need to remove it fully just open the front of it up enough for the clips to clear the glove box as they latch into the side of it. It took me a while to work out why I couldn't get it out when all the screws were undone!

You will then be able to lift the whole glove box compartment out with a bit of manoeuvring, but keep in mind there is a wire that goes to the glove box light in the top. I couldn't work out how to remove this without breaking it so I propped the glove box up against the dash and seat and worked behind it with it still attached to the wire. I'm sure you could remove it completely with a bit more "persistence".

Doing it this way gives you access to all the computery bits up high in the dash and in behind the reverse camera screen.

I will be doing this again Monday for a UHF install and can take pics if you are still unsure.

Spot on. I did mine last week for the UHF install. Be warned though theres bugger all room behind it anyway cos there's another plastic panel behind it. Not enough room for my Homer Simpson hands anyway!

also there is the little ram thingy on the left hand side which controls the speed which the glove box opens (gives it that nice slow controlled fall.) you just have to unclip that by squeezing the two tabs together and sliding the ram bit off.
