Anyone pulled the console apart?

I want to fit a P3 in the cup holder section of the console ahead of the auto gearshift. It feel it will fit better if I remove the flap over the top and maybe the whole cupholder section., Anyone pulled this area of the console apart without breaking anything?

Anyone? Or has there already been a post on this topic that I have missed. Maybe in a build up ?

I'm no where near vehicle so can't look but pull those silver strips up the sides of the radio off first and follow your nose

I mentioned it a bit in my buildup. But yeah as wooley says, Gentle prying gets you there pretty well.

Thanks guys. When I pulled it all apart I found that 2 out of the 4 screws that hold the cupholder in place were missing. Seems someone at Toyota has been in there before me
