Err no Simone, you post doesn't help. Bar looks the same. I would have thought the Digital Marketing Coordinator might have prepared a more helpful first post. No dates? No mention of the changes in design? No indicative prices or deals?

Development? The bar looks exactly the same....development the attachments maybe?

Hi Symo & Prado Pointers,Originally posted by Symo View PostBullbars fit as per all 150 series, heres a photo of old and new with the same bulbar fitted.
Firstly I would like to introduce myself, I am the Digital Marketing Coordinator for TJM. I have joined the forum today simply as a resource to provide accurate information on our products. So any questions, please feel free to ask!
As you know there are significant front end changes to the 14MY Prado. These changes have prompted a redesign of our accessories, and as such TJM has not released a steel bar at this stage. Our development team however are working hard to get all products out for this vehicle. A teaser shot showing the new lines of the T13 (still in development) was released on our facebook page last week.
I hope this helps!

Does anyone know whether Toyota came to their senses and changes the material used for making the dashboard to prevent the cracking that was experienced by the 120 owners?

Fair enough, but what about the grille? Did the grille get changed on the facelift to improve airflow or because of some change in the radiator or a/c side of things?Originally posted by Symo View PostYep, but GXL don't have DRL, just Halogen parkers as per normal cars, they are just bigger.

I looked at a new GXL today. Sorry apart from the front and some minor bits inside looks like mine. And its black trim. Certainly the front is going to be a challenge for a bar and it looks like the approach angle is worse than before with the standard plastic.

Corine,
Yep, all the features of the "off road pack" became standard on Kakadu from October 2011 production on. That is, Crawl Control, Multi-Terrain Monitor, Multi-Terrain Select System (MTS), Rear Diff Lock, Wide View Front and Left Side Monitor.
Cheers,
David.

I have a rear diff lock and MTS on my 2009 Kakadu, mine was the "Off Road Pack" option so I didn't get Radar Cruise Control. My understanding is the MTS has been refined on the facelift model.

Peter,
Seems like 4x4 Australia are misguided as the 2012 Kakadu had a rear diff lock (and MTS) as standard too.
Cheers,
David.

There's a review in January's 4x4 Australia (why on earth Jan's mag is coming out now I have no idea...). The only "new" thing was that the Kakadu's come with a standard rear locking diff. It's not available on the other versions because it relies on the MTS ("Multi terrain select") system which only the Kakadu has.

There's no manual adjust on my model either. I believe the 2012 models with HID low beams (definitely Kakadu, VX as well?) had the automatic height adjusters - seem to remember reading in another thread that it's an ADR requirement for HIDs. The halogen low beams in the 2012 GXL had the manual height adjustment. The facelift model has replaced the low beam HIDs with with LED lamps in the up-spec models right? If so, perhaps the LED lamps have just maintained the auto height adjustment that the HIDs had?
Cheers,
David.
