awesome its aerodynamic stability has been increased by fitting fins to the mirrors and rear tail lights. cool that extra stability and downforce will come in handy, hopefully the car will stop launching over those annoying speedhumps now.........
Styling changes include a deeper front bumper and a larger grille with five prominent vertical bars, integrated with new headlamp clusters. The tail-light clusters have been redesigned with red and clear lens segments and the LandCruiser logo is integrated within the lamp casing.
‘Aerodynamic stability’ has supposedly been increased by adopting aero stabilising fins on the exterior mirror base and rear combination lamps.
Additional specifications to each variant over the old model are as follows: the GX gets a rear-view camera, newly designed 17-inch six-spoke alloy wheels, audio controls on the steering wheel, an LCD central display and new six-speaker display audio system (with a seven-inch central screen).
This in addition to standard equipment such as cruise control push-button start, 220-volt accessory socket, and USB, Bluetooth and auxiliary connections. Towing capacity remains 2500kg (below rivals such as the Holden Colorado 7).

Does anyone have a picture of the GX/GXL dash and reversing camera display?
I am curious to know if Toyota have persisted with the pissy little 4" screen from the non-facelift GXL? Maybe someone has finally reminded Toyota that it is nearly 2014 and the soccer mums want the Satnav option in the their GXL too!
Symo, that price sounds pretty good to me, still quite a discount on RRP and I would have thought that being a "new" model Prado they would have said RRP with no haggling...Comment

Don't have a picture but advice from the dealer is that all models now have the same larger screen. the screen has been updated and looks good. I actually quite like the looks of the exterior and interior. The small screen and the effort of changing it was holding us back and we were looking VX instead. But now we can add leather to the GXL for $2.5k (all leather not just in certain parts as per Mr Toyota Man) we'll place an order on one shortly.Originally posted by Russell View Post

I noticed that in the photo gallery on the goauto link above, a plastic box (fuse box maybe) has taken up residence on the passenger's side firewall where some have placed an aux battery.Comment

If the 7" screen is standard in the GX/GXL, I would be very surprised if it isn't setup for Toyota to provide a Satnav "upgrade" option sometime in the future.
Other vendors are starting to go this way, with the same physical screens/buttons fitted across all models and the Satnav functionality enabled either through hardware or software upgrades by the dealer (obviously at a cost). Saves them manufacturing multiple dash layouts, keeps prices lower by only selling people what they want and most importantly (for the manufacturers to make $$$ anyway) quick and simple for them to activate in the dealership and still charge a fortune for the privilege while tying buyers to OEM upgrades that they will no doubt charge a for as well....Comment
