  • Where to mount eTag?

I have just received my eTag toll pass to use on CityLink and EastLink and I'm not sure if it's ok to mount it in the usual spot next to the rear view mirror. I believe the thin box to the left is the rain sensor for the wipers. Is the eTag likely to cause interference with this or anything else up there?

I've mounted mine at the bottom of the windscreen, drivers side. My navman covers it from the inside, seems to work fine. I don't have the rain sensors to worry about though.

    150 with stuff bolted on!

OK, thanks Josh. Stupid question perhaps but where does the radio aerial run?

Mine is mounted behind the rear view mirror... No problem with any interference

        Cheers,

Which one? Am fm or UHF, the am fm is in one of the back windows and the UHF comes through the firewall drivers side. Why do you ask?

AM/FM which you have answered, was just curious as I thought it ran around the front windscreen somehow.

I don't have one, I pay the extra for not having one, I save more because I try harder not to use the rip off :-)

When I used to have one it was always in the glovebox, it beeped every time.
It will cost you less than a buck to find out. Just an idea, dumb as it might be.

I only opened the account so I could come to your place Anthony :-)

Bloody GPS took us another way and we didn't end up using CityLink to get to you but we did use it to get home, beats going through the city or down Kingsway. I won't be using it if I can avoid it but sometimes it's just faster and less hassle to go the toll road route.

Move to South Australia, no toll roads here (yet)

                    Cheers Andrew

Left hand side of rear vision mirror on dotted panel. Works fine.

behind the mirror is what i have done. figured that having it high would be the most likely place to have total signal to the toll point.

In the bin between the front seats? Wouldn't work for me since mine is also a cooler box which gets quite icy, not good for electronic devices. I'll probably just put it up behind the mirror as others have suggested, that way it's out of the way.

Behind the mirror - also helps to block out the sun (from the kids eyes) when driving home from the big smoke
