First time post, I think I may have a slightly different issue, but along the same line.

I have a genuine Toyota alloy bar fitted, with front parking sensors which seems a bit temperamental. When I checked the part no. after reading the earlier posts, it was not PZQ986002UP1 (the number for a white vehicle fitted with a bullbar) rather they are mat black with part no. PZQ98-00030OM on the instruction manual. The picture on the manual actually looks more like a Kluger than a Prado!!

Has the dealership done a dodgy on me or are these sensors interchangeable between Toyota vehicles? Vehicle going in for 1000km service tomorrow, questions will be asked...

i got the front sensors on my GXL and they are Crap! i leave them turned off now dont really need them.
They go off when driving 110km/h down the freeway with nothing around me or when stationary and nothing around me. Dealer told me to vige them a ckean.. they are spotless.
I would have thought they would be disabled when moving faster than 10km/h

Just to update an old thread I used these in my early 150 Prado as hole fillers when I removed the bullbar and fitted a front bumper off a Kakadu. They fitted perfectly into the original holes. I cant comment on how they work as I havnt connected them but they looked like the originals. I used the black ones that matched with the Mica colour of my car.

Pete, would you be able to take a photo of the back of your sensors and the plug, I now need to work out if just plugging the VX/Kakadu sensors into the GXL wiring loom will work before spending more money on the sensors.
