Tips to keep sand out of the car ?

...I think if those from outside W.A spent a summer driving on our beaches experiencing the constant gale force wind would relate more to my question!.

At least you get to drive on the beach. We poor Victorians have to drive interstate for the pleasure
But, agree, it's a pain when every time you open the door...

Spend the bucks and get a set of sand grabber mats for front and rear. I never had them on the 120 but it was the first option I got for the 150. They are worth their weight in gold.

I live 200 metres from the beach, air up and down at least once or twice a week, sand boards, surfboards on the roof, 4 kids in and out of the back seats and you just have to live with the fact sand gets in.

Keep the windows up and enjoy the ride.

That's why we drive 4wds and not crummodores !

SandGrabba mats are the way to go, along with some seat covers. When you go to sell the car take them all out so it looks brand new like factory and sell the mats and seat covers on eBay

Sandgrabber mats for me too - they are as good as everyone suggests.

I also bought a bunch of dustpan brushes that are in the door pockets.

In the boot I have the rubber cargo mat but also have a folded up tarp as well which is easy to take out and shake. I also carry a big tub with a lid in the boot for anything wet/sandy, and plenty of spare towels.

End of the day though, only way you will stop it is to not go to the beach. But whats the fun in that!
