Gear Knob

Has anyone removed their gear knob and and boot. I have a rattle that is driving me nuts and stops when pushing down on the boot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

gday Altim, if its an auto just turn it anti clockwise the knob comes off, i would assume the manual would be similar...
