Having spent a lot of time trying to find my way around the 600+ pages of the owners manual, not counting the off-road manual and the towing guide - are these available in electronic (i.e. searchable) form such as a PDF? It would make trying to find out such important things as how to scroll through playlist on an ipod a whole lot easier.

Good luck with that the interface with an iPod is terrible and slow, as for the position of the display it makes it almost impossible to do this whilst moving.
