ARB Deluxe winch bar pricing

Hi guys,

im new to pradopoint but not new to the 4wding scene, i recently traded my worked 09 SR5 Hilux in for the new 2013 Prado Altitude and haven't looked back!

I've been looking all over to see what kind of prices people are getting for the ARB deluxe winch bar with parking sensors, fog lights (existing) and colour coding (especially pearl paint) fitted.

I'm getting numerous quotes from newcastle and sydney ARB stores to compare.. so far I'm looking at $2440 for the bar colour coded to pearl paint and foggies all fitted.. but i reckon it could get down further

anyone got anything better?

I just had my new altitude fitted with exact bar and fog lights - in graphite paint. I will dig up receipt and post the cost. I don't think it will beat your quote thou.

I was wondering how do you find driving at night with it, do you get glare off the bar when the headlights are on? I had this issue on my hilux with high beam especially. And do you get shadowing?

I have just had the exact same bar and colour quoted, for $2,600, painted and fitted.

I paid less than 2k fitted and painted with fogs and everything. I have spent a lot of $ though at my store. They have a lot do room to move IMO.

Edit - no parking sensors.

Hi, I got the same bar and same colour on my 2012 Altitude.
Got it with OME suspension kit as a package, but on the docket it said $2400 with lights and fitted.
You'll probably be able to get better but will have to haggle for awhile and then they'll be less happy to do the job, and you end up with
A less professional job.

I do get a small amount of shadow but no where near as bad as I thought it would,
the Pearl White colour does reflect a little soft light back toward the driver.

If I did it again, I'd still uses the pearl white colour but i would look at getting it powder coated not painted.
Cost is A lot more but the paint jobs can be iffy, mine has a lot of chips and scratching just from sand dunes.
If your keeping the car for several years and will do a fair amount of traveling/off road driving it will be in better
Condition when you go to trade in.

BTW congrats on getting the Altitude, their a good buy.

I got mine 12 months ago for $1890 ordered through the dealer.

They obviously have room to move if they give the dealers such goos prices.

Now I am not trying to have a dig at ARB here, but I thought I should share some images of my deluxe bar that is 14months old. It has surface rust on the inside, and then I noticed the poor colour match. The vehicle has never been on a beach or near salt water.

To top it off I am finding it a real struggle to have ARB replace it. They said that they would and then all of a sudden they stopped answering my emails. Anyone on this forum work at ARB ad can help?

warnsie that is an easy fix . They have a facebook page. Post the comments and pictures on there page and do mention they are not doing anything about it.

Maybe that's the only way to go. But I am hoping that it doesn't have to turn into a S##T fight. I think they do a good product, but their customer liaison is pretty poor...

The bar was arranged by the toyota before I took delivery. The first service I brought up the colour match and Toyota said that's about the standard. I was not happy with that answer and demanded them to contact the ARB store who fitted it. I never heard back from toyota for ages, and after a couple of friendly reminders they finally gave me a store contact and left it up to me to do their dirty work. Contacted the store and they said they would take it off and touch it up in the workshop- I don't think so.... So they gave me a contact at head office which I called, and after having a little chat he said to email some images (as shown). When he saw them he said he would arrange a new bar straight away and would contact me as soon as it arrives. After three emails and a phone call no one has had the decency to contact me. So right now I have $2500 worth of bull bar that's the wrong colour and is full of rust... But I am sure I will hear from them very soon???

Sam got in contact with me today and he was able to get me onto the state manager. A new bar is being arranged and will be ready in a week. I am very happy with the outcome. Thank you for your help Sam.
