Looking at a on road tool kit for the 150.

I'd like the minimum required, all contained in a purpose built case. Liked the Supatool P1104 but it doesn't have a screwdriver or pliers. Some of the SCA stuff looks a bit cheap and nasty! Don't want stuff that breaks.

Don't want to carry around a workshop, so what do you do for your tool kit/roll? Got the recovery stuff already covered.

    Dear Geoff,

Your question is difficult to answer with anything meaningful, because you have not supplied any detail whatsoever.

    1. What vehicle are you driving and what modifications, and what are you intending to tow (if anything)
    2. Do you do/plan to do your own servicing
    3. What sort of driving are you intending to do
    4. Where are you intending to travel (local, off orad, very remote etc)

You see, the answer to your question, at the moment, is "it all depends"... your tool selection really does depend on what you do and where you intend to do it. I have a few kits. The one the car came with (which I have slightly modified so it has a set of adjustable pliers in it as well), andotehr kit that sits in the hatch beside the main car tool kit in the rear door, a recovery kit (with snatch, equiliser, tow strap, rated shackles, gloves, cable ties, rescue tape, velcroe straps, etc, and a a small kit I take everywhere, and a kit I take when on long, remote trips....its "horses for courses" Geoff.

There are some other posts on this forum detailing tools and bits a pieces that people take in their tool kits for long, remote trips, but you can't take that in the car around town, and no point aking certain tools if you can't use them anyway.

    take care

Brogers, you're quite right, I should have specified the circumstances.

The kit is for traveling only, towing a van. I'd like a basic set of metric ring/open ended, sockets and ratchet, screw driver. Not looking to go way off the track.
