That track up and over Mt Pinnibar is awesome isn't it. Not that difficult, but incredible views, hope it was clear for you.

Was clear when we first arrived but 10 minutes later it was clouded over to pea soup level. It was a good run up the track from Tom Groggin to Mt Pinnibar, a little damp and slippery in places. We passed on group who had turned around because not all their vehicles could get through (Amarok, Navara and Courier).

Right at the top about two klicks from Pinibar and down along Mt Anderson and Limestone tracks, the graders had been through and it was like driving on a two lane highway.

Stared at it for about 5 minutes in the driveway and thought "mmm what next for you?"...then walked inside, picked up the phone and booked her in for a GME UHF on Wednesday - Mind you, $250 difference between two of the main players in my area...no prizes for guessing who was the most expensive...

Had a GME TX3345 UHF fitted today to the 150....Nice install using the spare plate next to the '2ND START' button for an RJ connection....Mic can live in the glovebox during day to day driving...

Went down to put some fuel in the prado this morning and got a bit of a shock,the price per litre has gone up 10c from 168.9 to 178.9 a litre.
So anyone planning to fuel up in tom price be aware that's what the price of diesel is at the moment also ULP91=174.9 & ULP95=185.9.

Today I hard wired in my radar detector and installed a blend mount off the centre mirror for the radar detector.
Then I washed it.

People still use them? They are also ineffective against laser speed measuring devices. A few years back people would get fined if they were found with them and I understood the police had detector detectors, if that makes sense. Has that changed?

Here in WA they are still legal.
I know when a cop is at the side of the road and hits me with a hand held laser I am gone, but I get about 100m on a multinova (side of the road camera). And about 1km on a car mounted radar. It has saved me many time from getting a fine and glad I still have mine.
Plus mine has a built in GPS and blocks out auto doors etc which means less distraction when driving down the road. If it goes off, then I know it's a cop.

Detectors are legal in the Wild West. And there are detectors and there are detectors. I had one when I was there last century. Purely for scientific testing purposes you understand.
