  • Matt if you camp at Poverty Point and have a kayak or canoe there is some fabulous paddling between there and Roy's Rd. We usually paddle up from Redcliffe and camp at Middle Island (?) and then carry on up to Caloundra.

A couple of shots from one of our trips. This campsite is just up the passage from Poverty but is only accessible by water.

I like the idea of a fire at Poverty etc. No fires on eastern beach. Sitting around a LED having a beer just isn't the same.

      • Fitted a Pirahna Aux Battery Tray to the 150 (V6)...90mins Garage Door Open to Garage Door Closed...Fiddiest bit = Gently manipulating the A/C pipes with big fear of snapping them...To add to the pressure, the Power Steering reservoir bracket (that you have to cut the legs off) are out of stock in Australia - 3 week wait from Japan (according to Toyota Spares - refer my paranoid phone call 5 mins before starting the install)

        • Fitted up some nice push button switches for the light bar and driving lights. Painted the rear hub centres black and repainted the light bar and started making a sand flag out of an old beach rod.

Did you damage yours during the install? Mine was trimmed during the install of my ABR Sidewinder tray, now my power steering reservoir keeps coming adrift.

The great thing about the new MaxTrax mounting pins is the new design allows the use if a padlock to secure them! Great design work by both MaxTrax and Craig from TraxRax!!!

                          • Mounted a powered USB port up near the radio and will be used it for powering Ipad, iphone and go pro. The cable is routed down under the centre console to the power outlet on the rear. Only took an hour all up

                              • Bought it heaps of goodies at the Explore Australia Expo today. We now have some extra bits for the Pioneer Platform on order (Front Rail, Rear Roller, and a Gas Bottle Holder) and a really roomy rear wheel bag from Redback 4x4 Accessories. Also picked up an awesome little Korr head torch for the camping trips and mine exploring plus some super compact folding chairs from Opposite Lock. Checked out a rear storage setup from Fourby Fitouts too but will have to save up for that LOL.
