Some kind of Chinese stir fry. A good night. Feels good to fit it myself and get to know a little more about the car.

      • Left the sunroof open 3 inches overnight after leaving my car at the pub after a big session. Torrential rain.. Center cup holders full.

Concerned about electronics under seat... The leather seats direct water behind and down and the electrics seem wet. :-O

        • Fitted new bendix 4wd brakes pads on the front and took the discs to a local shop to be machined.
$75 for the pads and $50 for the machining.
Cars feels much better under brakes.
Was quoted $280 by the local brake place to do the complete job.

                • Picking up a custom made half height barrier from Autosafe tomorrow. I have taken out third row seats (much to the handbrake's disgust) and installed ors DIY kit drawers. Autosafe have made the barrier to my measurements from the top of the dawers to the roof. Same price as a standard height barrier. $517 and will install it myself. Will let u know how it goes and post some photo's if anyone's interested

                  • His bonnet just clipped the bottom of the wheel cover. A little scratch on the bottom but nothing major or worth fixing.

Do you really need approval to REMOVE seats? What were they checking, that the drawers were adequately protected by the curtain airbag?

                          • The addition or removal of seats requires a seating inspection by the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI).

The vehicle will then be fitted with a seating label to reflect the new seating arrangement.

The removal of seats or seatbelts to achieve a reduction in seating capacity must not interfere with the vehicle's supplementary restraint system (SRS) - eg removing a front seat and seatbelt with pre-tensioners may disarm the entire vehicle's SRS and therefore would not be approved.
