  • eliminating the need for ropes
looks good, but surely you'd still need ropes ? wouldn't the wind just pick up that whole thing and bend all the mounts ?

    • New front window tint to match the privacy glass and clear UV film on the privacy glass. Also put in my new cargo liner I got from Booter in.

        Hey Mate,

No - the top spigot of each pole is bent, and on the bottom of each pole there are feet attached that are double cross pegged. Therefore when the wind does blow, the poles are anchored and it can't lift the wing any higher than the bend in the top spigot. Obviously if you expected some very high winds ropes would be safer. It also has eyelets sewn into the canvas between each pole so that in rain you can tie it down forming a channel to help drain the water away.

I had it up in the backyard last week-end and it was blowing a good 20knotts and it was fine. Made it a bit more interesting to set up and pack up though

        • Got my amts recovery points on over the weekend. Even managed to drop the plate inside the chassis, much fun to get it back to the right spot to do the bolts up. Also started putting my Fyrlyt spotties on, got them on and wired up except for the trigger wire to the relay. That may have to wait for a week or two.

Getting the towbar installed this week along with some wiring the the rear for trailer brakes and 12v for the fridge and usb.

          Cheers, Nova

Thinking you will have to replace it with a plastic one before you get the Kaymar as its ripped off from the top!

I also installed an isolator switch in so that I can turn off if required.
