Just got a quote to get some stuff removed from my new 2014 GX

..............A whole stack of Hail dents from the storm that hit our house, while I was working interstate.

Fitted Philips Blue Vision Ultra Globes for High Beam to my 2014 Kakadu.
Still not quite as white as the LED head lights but a closer match than the factory fit yellow halogens.

also laid insulation on panels now exposed due to removal of seats

Washed it after recce for the GTG, aah the joys of revealing new pinstripes! Fair to say its definetly earned its stripes!

Fitted the TG150 (awesome product Brains!) And wired up the rear Anderson plug.

Tomorrow's jobs will be to install my remote head UHF and wire up the spotties (all in prep for the bullbar being fitted on Monday week)

Installed UHF, GME TX3345 + GME AE4018K1 Aerial
Mounted the UHF in the compartment under the aircon display.
I already had the brake controller installed in there so I was looking for something that would fit under it.
the GME unit was the perfect size.
I ended up moving the brake controller to the left slightly so now I have room to store the mic when not in use.

As I have not got a bulbar as yet, waiting to see what ARB come up with for the VX and kaka the first bar didn't excite me.
I was looking at a way to mount it in the front of the grill.
Had a bit of a look and found I could use 1 existing bolt and 1 hole 8mm in a steel bracket behind the grill.
Not drilling in the car required. Welded a small bracket up to bolt to the steel frame behind the grill, I used a GME Z bracket and cut the bottom of it to bolt to the bracket I made.
All turned out looking ok.

Installed the front recovery points after painting them black, left the shackle part yellow though. Fitted some Genuine Toyota canvas seat covers and finished the UHF install.

Also installed Brain's TG150 transfer guard, what a nice bit of kit, fitted perfectly and well finished. Great product for the price.

Extended my rear diff Breather

Removed the canvas seat covers, every time I moved in them it sounded like my clothes were being worn away. Put on a set of sheepskin, so much nicer to sit in.
Will save the canvas for bush.

Washed Prado and decided while it was clean to rub some polish onto it. Looks sparkly!

Fitted bonnet and headlight protectors, fitted rear rubber mat and removed all plastic from around spare wheel. Also found my tool kit is missing the 8/10mm spanner and the pliers. Going to ring the dealer tomorrow and get them to sort this out on first service as well as the rattle in the drivers door speaker area.

By chance i looked at my tool kit this morning and there was no 8/10 mm or pliers. Will check with dealer too. Probably another money saving omission...

Move the rear camera from the dash cam to a better position on the rear door. Ran the cable down the drivers side, much better now with the cable tucked away nicely.

Dealer finally got back to me, not fitted in prado!!
My $20k workmate Hilux has them fitted and its not even one year old. The dealer then said I can get them put in at the first service if I wanted and they would only charge me for the parts, how kind!!
