Washed the eggs that the little sh1ts celebrating Halloween decided to chuck all over the front of the Prado off. They were well and truly baked on too. Not good when you are recovering from surgery, they didn't even ring the bell to ask for treats first.







I just noticed the eggs have hit the windscreen hard enough to splatter all over the ceiling of my car port too, will have to get the Karcher out again.

the egg shell can put small chips in a circle shape when it hits paint work straight on but the kids don't give a shit

Yeah, not really celebrating, are they. Just wanton damage. Once saw a bloke catch some kids throwing eggs at his own kids' school. He sat the kids down and threw the remainder (2 cartons) of eggs at the kids. Not saying it's right, but i bet it was satisfying.

Hey guys, make sure you wash the car really well to get all the egg off.
I had this happen to my Rav a few years back and I did not notice some of the egg white had splashed on the roof and bonnet (they egged the side of the car)
after a few weeks i noticed that the paint started to blister and crack, the enzymes in the white had actually eaten through the clear coat

A girl I went to school with was hit by an egg one halloween and had to have three or four stitches. She was riding home from work when she got hit. They're pretty bloody dangerous!

Figuring we had accumulated a few odds and ends during our travels in Tassie and Victoria I thought we might have been a fair bit over weight so I put the car and van over a weigh bridge in Warnambool yesterday and it wasnt far off the max all round.
GCM is 5460 5 kg under max
GVM of car loaded 2900, 90 kg under
Caravan 2560 which is 60 kg over tow capacity (oops) but 40 under GTM
Ball loading is 140 kg which is fine except it puts the GVM of the Prado 50 kg over.
Front axle load is 1400 kg and rear 1640.
So i did the only thing i could to lighten the load, had a shower to use up some water to lighten the van and drank some beer to lighten the car. We should be pretty close to the mark now..

Interesting. Sounds like a good set up on the towball weight. How much fuel did you have?
5.5 tonne, the 4 cyl is working! Definitely keep a close eye in your Injectors & do something about the egr problem.
