Cheers mate, I really struggle with this iPad, it's good, but well beyond my capabilities to use it to its full potential. If its nuts and bolts I'm all over it though

Went up to Bribie Island with a mate (who also bought a 2014 150) for the first time. First time for both of us and the cars. Inland track was opened as we arrived. Had no problems getting through to beach and the kids absolutely loved it. Rescued a poor fella who had bogged / beached his Disco 3 with camper trailer in tow. Pulled him out using the stock Toyota 'towing tie down' point with no problems but will look at tow bar soon. Had a swim and had to leave. A great day. Love the car!
had its 10k km service today for the princely sum of $210 (!!!) having been accustomed to servicing costs with another zero on that - aaahhh toyota capped price servicing! the dealer couldn't kill the ignition on & door open warning chime though - any suggestions?
anyway, the truck's now ready to drive out to the folk's farm for easter and clear its lungs of the city
Took the brand new 2014 GXL for a day trip to Bribie with a mate (Esquire), also in his brand new 2014 GXL yesterday. They were faultless and ate up the sand. My mate even got the opportunity to snatch a Disco3 out of a bit of soft stuff heading up to one of the camp sites (just to top the day off). After several hours of playing around, we headed home for a wash down. Can't wait for the next outing, now I'm in a capable fourby!
N.B. - sorry to bore you all with the same story! I just noticed my "mate" posted this little journey yesterday arvo! In saying that, the kids loved it soooo much, we're braving the public holiday traffic and heading back for the day again tomorrow.
2014 150 GXL TD Auto graphite. CouplerTec, Rhino rack, maxtrax but still a work in progress...

Headed up there at 12pm today, went via the inland track and came out on the beach at 2pm on the dot (left south side of Bne at 12). Decided not to lock the diff and leave the traction aides on and cruised through no problems. Didn't even get the ESC to trigger as the ground was so hard the "soft" parts just were fluffy on top and hard underneath.
The beach was the same, cruised home at 4pm in the setting sun and ran up the cutting slowly in 3rd, all aides still on and I locked the centre diff this time but it didn't make any difference, to was an easy run.
Mounted the awning, and shovel holders yesterday to the rack and shoved the fridge in with some snacks and cold water. Was probably the most comfortable and effortless beach drive I have ever had, the Prado is very well designed indeed.

Packed my prado for its first overnight trip. Going to a mates farm tomorrow to fang around in cars, big campfire and a few beverages. All I can say is its a bit smaller than the old 80, just means a bit more creative packing. Might leave the missus at home next time...

Just remember you will lose your five star safety rating as you will have 1 less airbag
