Got her serviced yesterday, asked the shop to install my winch. Pick it up today. I'll install the uvp thus week and hit the tracks over the weekend.
I bought a fumoto sump valve but I made the purchase a day late. It was delivered next day as promised but the car was already in for the service so now I have to wait 5000km to install it. Boo.Comment

I thought it would be more beneficial to remove the sump plug at every oil change to inspect the pickup? Having the sump valve installed is going to allow that all important step to be missed...

I'm a V6 owner too! But a lot of what I read on this forum is of the D4D woes and the necessity to inspect the sump at oil changes and check injector values. What issues do we V6 owners have? After three seconds of thought... I'll probably remove to check anyway. The valve provides a cleaner release for a Gumby like me before I unscrew to check, anyway - less mess I'd expect...Comment

Ironman bull bar and safari snorkel installed. IPF lights from my 120 bolted on with the wiring to be completed when I stick the second battery etc in. Roadsafe recovery points put in at the same time . They fit well but needed a couple of spacers at the back end to allow for the thickness of the bull bar mount.Comment
