  • Why did I take so long?

My first post so here we go!.....Just bought a 2010 150D4D GX 6 speed manual. I absolutely love it! Have had a few 4x4's in the past and thought my petrol/gas 80 series was the best car I ever owned. Then recently had a 3.0L Navara twin cab with ALL the gear on it and it was a nice car (ute) but was a bit "tinny" and not that comfortable for long drives with the van. (16ft Coromal Offroad Poptop). I have always wanted a Prado but unfortunately didn't have the folding stuff available. Then I found the Prado private sale locally and at a good price and after the first drive I had to have it......Why did I wait so long? For a base model it has all we need and more. Very comfortable, a joy to drive and more than capable off road and to tow the van. It came with alloy winch bar, alloy wheels and coopers, cruise and electric "stuff" that I am continuing to find....was driving the other night and found the headlight adjustment thingo!

Just started to play around with it a bit. So far have driving lights, twin batteries, 3 bar Rhino Racks, home made rear draw set up and fridge slide, Poly airs. Thinking bout 40-50mm lift, in dash GPS, winch, etc etc but at the moment I am just happy to have it. I have been reading all the stuff on Prado Point and my head is spinning with all the great info. Will try to post some pictures on my next post once I work out how to do it...

I know exactly how you feel. Picked up mine two weeks ago after owning a Patrol for a few years. The Prado is just sooo much better.

I did a 600k round trip last night, got out of the car quite refreshed, unlike the Patrol which you really had to drive and was quite a chore to punt over any distance.
