  • Altitude - Phone and Media Use

I'm hoping someone can help me out.
When I was sold my 2013 Altitude, it was explained to be that the sound system has zones, so if I answered a phone call, the dvd continued to play in the back or when a dvd was playing in the back with the wireless head phones, the front of the vehicle can have the radio on. I can't find how to do this anywhere, and my dealer can't help me out either even though he said it would do this when purchasing. I don't know what I did once, but when answering a call(through the blue tooth) I was able to talk through the blue tooth while the DVD continued playing in the back, the next time I started my car, it when back to the car being one zone. I have read the manual front to back but it doesn't even say anything remotely similar! Appreciate any help or feedback anyone can give!

    Thanks!

Hi, I assume you went to Canberra Toyota? Did you speak with a sales person or the service department? The service department does not get the same up to date training the sales guys get. I worked there a few years ago and from memory the Altitude had a separate audio/DVD manual?? I have some contacts there, I'll find out who the best tech head is and let you know if you like??
    Cheers Mark

Actually got it from Cooma Toyota. Spoke to the sales person, but since chasing it up with him, he says he spoke to everyone and no one knows. Yes there is two manuals, one for the car and one for the audio/dvd manual. I have read both! I would really appreciate that! Thank you! I am hoping I don't have too many more car trips only listening to the kids shows! I really appreciate your help!

              Thanks for that.

The second one down is a lexus link, the first is the toyota US site, is it that one I should follow?

              Cheers

Might be worth a go. I didn't have too much luck with who's the best to speak to. The 3 I asked all said bring it in and see the service department. If you're getting the service done it might be a good time to ask.
                Good luck

Thanks, my stereo face doesn't look like the one's in the link. I'll hopefully get a positive result when I go for my service. Thanks for your help!
