I don't think I would be travelling to the centre of earth and requiring 2 long rang tanks. If I did need extra fuel, a roof rack with some Jerry's will do me fine. This one little negative is far outweighed by the convenience of a light door, easy access glass window, a perfect factory mounted rear camera with full view of tow ball and back 3mt+, lighter GVM for everyday driving and more.

My fuel consumption is at 8.5-9lt per 100km of city traffic on HWY. This info in not from the car computer avg 30min usage, but from a program I used to record my amount of fuel in and kms done. HWY driving with no towing can get me down to 8lt/100 and fully loaded with boat is up to 12-13lt/100.

One concern I have with 2 tanks is fuel going stale. I fill up (empty to full) my tank every 2.5-3 weeks with a 87lt tank. If I had 2 tank I would be filling up 150-60lt every 5-6 weeks. that's not for me.

I have a 2y.o and the 7' rear Ent screen and leather seats are the best thing since slice breed for us when doing long trips.

For those that hate it and come up with the only excuse of a missing a tank... well these are usually people that don't or afraid of change, especially when they are so used to seeing the same thing over and over. And I say get your GXL.

At the end of the day its whatever floats your boat, not this one is better then this one etc.

Perfect, this would be my situtation too.

I have an 80 series, since i have owned it (5 years) I have NEVER filled up both tanks, as it gets driven once every week. If you have bought it to tour Australia then fair enough. The only downside I see with this model is re-sale only because of the absent tank.

Do any other model come with that screen? Because that is awesome! I doubt i can afford to get this model, I'd have to settle for an earlier model to suit my budget but that screen is perfect for the kiddlets.

      • The rear screen is standard in the altitude, vx and kaka only. I think you can buy the screen for the gxl, but you pay a stupid amount of money for it.... $1k.

the rear screen is controled either by remote or the front touch screen unit 3 wirless headphones blah, blah, blah.

if it doesn't come with a screen I would look at ebay. Yes its not factory and doesnt have surround or work with the front unit or play blu-ray but it will only be $200

        • I wonder how much it would be to purchase the door alone. I want one. Looks much neater than the wheel on door variety.

          • Also don't lose the remote of the screen either....

My brother in law has the same screen in his 200 LC and was quoted $400 for a new remote! Luckily he found where the kids threw it!
