I bought a Jeep Wrangler as a second vehicle, (have spent too much on the current Prado to replace it with another one) We previously had a WJ Grand Cherokee, and there are noticeable difference now since Fiat bought Jeep.

I have a few friends who have now changed over to the GC from a 150 Prado after 3 year leases with the Prado. There is a big difference in buy price. It will be interesting to see the market value of the GC in 3 years.

And yes agree there are a lot of Jeeps of varying models on the road now.

Having taken some time to consider, we also took test drive in a Jeep GC 4x4 Petrol Laredo, which is now amazing value at $44k Drive Away (MY14, 13Build).

So against the knowledge that Prado's are indestructible, have best in class resale value, etc, its the cabin comfort and spec level and the external looks of the JGC that are going to win for the school run and light off roading. Only concern is the poor after sales service and parts availability.

If the roads are any indication, it appears we are not alone in favouring the Jeep ...

Just a JKU 4 door. Was originally going to get the wife a sedan of some sort but found a 2012 with 40,000klm for a good price. She's always liked the Jeeps.
