According too car advice and motor report update last week toyota will not answer request for the Hilux release. It will be revealed this year but you definitely won't be able to buy one until 2016.-=2014 GXL D4D Auto Graphite, Firestone Airbags, ARB/Optima D34 Dual Battery, ARB UVP, TJM Airtech Snorkel=-

I was told by a Toyota dealer in NSW that their new pricing structure meant an increase of approx 3k on a GXL. Either way my new 2014 GXL is being delivered on Friday. I plan on keeping it for a long time so waiting till the new year to buy didn't concern me. Time will tell.Originally posted by wanted View PostWell just heard as a result of FTA with Japan prices of vehicles built in Japan are going down? Anyone experience such a drop in price being offered? I was told an increase of 3-5%.

Where did you hear this wanted? I would have thought the prices would only come off a little and be absorbed by the dealers. Will be interested to see how manufacturers update their websites for the new pricing.Originally posted by wanted View PostWell just heard as a result of FTA with Japan prices of vehicles built in Japan are going down? I saw it on car sales news yesterday. If you go to car sales.com.au or via the app if you have it and look under news you will see some quoted reductions. They mention the GX Prado as a reference in the Prado range -4k but it will cover all Prados and all Japanese built vehicles. Biggest discounts are on the 200.

Just saw an ad on tv for a Jeep Cherokee. From $35k. No wonder the grey nomads are all buying them instead of a Prado these days. They don't go off road and just need the towing ability.
