DTE said 44 when I filled today. Filled slowly near the end to settle froth etc and put 135L in.

most I have ever put in was 138l DTE said 92.
that might of been cutting fine if you believe the DTE
filling up was quick waited for it to click off put a couple of more litres in
does some fuel froth more than others?
been using Caltex vortex only.
never tried a high flow pump maybe they cause more froth.

My DTE was calculated on stop start city driving. I'll see how consistent this is with a few more fill ups.

I have use four stations around my area of the same brand with the same diesel signage.
Three have fuel froth issues, one doesn't. (one I can only get 3/4 of a tank full)
The one with no issue has had the pumps replaced a few months back, maybe a reason?

Aux fuel tank 2014 question

My second tank and third tank I drove till the DTE read zero and filled up. It took 100km from fuel light to DTE zero. It was mixed driving and fit 142L on tank one, and 139L on tank 2.

I just drove a return trip to bundy and did 860kms and refilled in Brisbane with 74L, fuel guage was on 1/2.

The DTE has always read 1420km range and drops to 1350km when driving around town for a while.

The average consumption is shown as 8.2 and is reset every fill up.

Interesting. Mine from day 1 has always read 1236km range after fill.
What kind of a figure is that every time? 2013 pre facelift model.

Hi all, I have per face lift model and struggle to get more that 120 lts in after the light has come on.
After a fill the Toyota feel good computers normally sets the range at about 1500-1600 kms depending what kind of driving I was doing previously.
The diesel has very, very high rail pressure which causes a lot of heat in the fuel and what is not used is returned t the tank, so having 20 lt or so left in the tanks helps cool it down which helps on the efficiency. Note there is also a small air cooler on the return line just in front of the main tank.

Aaah so it's for cooling return fuel - saw it and was wondering why the fuel needed cooling - thanks for tip
