Folding mirror module

My module arrived from Aliexpress last Friday and picked up today from the PO. First impressions are very good. Loop through connectors are the correct type my my 2010 Prado. For 25 bucks you can't go wrong. Will post pics later of the unit when I get to my PC.

Yeah got mine last week too. It's so easy to install. Just connect the two wires only. The green wire like previous thread.

Just completed install.
The Blue and Green wires Cortez talks about are the bottom set next to the white wire not the top ones to the right.
I obtained power on the white connector red wire on top left hand side.
Installed the module using cable ties as per photo.

Mine is Dec 2013 build so is the face lift model (tear drop headlights) BUT is before the 2.8D come out and the 6 speed auto for both the D4D and the V6. So does any one know which one I will require ?? Only asking because Ive read through all the posts and there is a difference between these models. Mine is V6 would there be any difference in the wiring colours ?? Cheers Steve

Mine is 2015 facelift 3.0L so I think you will be ok. I listed my model to the seller when I purchased so he would know what to supply.

Received mine in the post yesterday, half an hour later it was installed and works really well.

Did the install today. Works a treat.

I too had a good read of the drawings to confirm what I was doing - somehow I missed Cortez's earlier post. Yep the large dark green and dark blue wires on the top black connector JG3 . Pins 8 and 9. They are next to the large white (black striped) ground wire on pin 7.

I used the large red wire on the white connector JG2 (pin 1) lower down for the +12v. Pink wire from folding module.

The grey UNLOCK wire from the folding module goes to that green wire on the black connector.

The green LOCK wire from the folding module goes to the Blue wire on the black connector.

Mate you can have your remote programmed to shut or open windows. Had mine done last service cost me nothing. I like to crack my windows open a tad on hot days to let the heat out. With the module your referring to my guess is you wouldn't be able to do this if you wanted to... Cheers

Thanks for the info.....

This locks doors, folds mirrors and closes windows. Th Aliexpress guys ask for picture of the back of the folding mirror switch. This is a hassle.....I may take a gamble on $50 and buy it..

Yea I emailed them as well but not sure what wiring they are referring to ??. I just want the folding mirror one. Cheers

Hi Steve M
They asked me for photos of the wiring connectors so I unclip the bit on the dash that houses you're start button and mirror adjustments and emailed that to them I've attached images of my 2012 3.0D4D Kakadu's connector as a example.
Hope it helps clear things up.

I brought the mirror door closer unit and door lock unit month ago still waiting on mirror closer unit but did received the door lock unit. Brought on seprate day. Fitting was less than minute job.it lock the prado when reached at 20km/h n unlock when it turn of the engine.

K. Wasnt sure if it's the pics you have posted or wether it was the ones behind the kick panel the lady was referring to. Cheers
