Keyless control - what can it controls?

Hi all

With my previous X5, i can roll the windows up/down, side mirrors fold/unfold, by using my keys.

I read that Toyota dealer can turn the windows up/down function on but can they do the side mirrors as well? Also the X5 has this feature called "Follow me home" which allow the lights (headlights, brake, mirrors, footwell, door lights....) to remain on for around a minute or two at night when you exit your car. Can i get the Dealer to do the same with the Prado?

I had the up down turned on by my dealer. Hold the unlock button on the key fob and they go down.

I think there is another thread that dicusses this.

Follow me home is in the VX and Kaka, doesn't require dealer to program. Its part of the settings.

Damn it, had a chance to buy a 2010 vx but i opted to by a 2012 glx with less K's instead .

Lot of these features (lights settings, timing for lights,interior illumination, door locks settings etc) are customisable by the service department on most Toyota's. In the case of VX and Kakadu, it was originally set as standard to do auto-up/down and open moonroof also - except couple of complaints from people lodging insurance claims for pressing it "by accident" in their pocket and getting storm damage means each person has to request it individually now.

Not 100% sure about the mirrors - being that they do have a shut button inside the vehicle, it would make sense that it can be integrated also - best idea would be to contact you closest Toyota dealer and see what they can do for you.
