48 month 80k Service costs?

I just paid $1400 for 80,000 kms service from Toyota even though my odometer reading is only 40,000Km..ohh yess also free capuccino and a biscuit at the reception Lol

Mattcw, do you know if the changed the fuel transfer filter located near the fuel tanks? Interested to know as many places I have rung didn't even know about the filter there.

Toyota in Qld quoted me $508 for the 100k service, not sure of the difference between that and the 80k though.

I thought 100k costed more as they replace the timing belt, how come it was cheaper than 80k?

Timing belt is at 150k service. It should also be cheaper, as it's just oil, oil filter and timing belt. Timing belt takes less than half an hour to do on the 1KD

Is that the recommended interval from the handbook or a safe distance for that engine?

Handbook, that is when the timing belt light comes on. Toyota has tested it to that distance so to me that is the maximum safe distance also
