Fuel qty issue

anyone had this issue or know of it?

Filled the car up recently and the fuel gauge only went to just over half tank , I didn't really worry about it as I thought it was the gauge taking time to match the level and only had a short drive and parked it in the garage.
I got in the car today and was surprised that the gauge was still on just over half with my wife using the car through the week , put approx 90km on it , so made sure it was full and topped it up again to make sure it's full , still tank only reads just above half full!
What's the issue?
Is there a check valve between tanks?
Is it a qty indication issue?
Will I still be using fuel from both tanks or only one?
I am not that keen taking it to toyota if I don't have too?

Any ideas?

How many litres did you put in at the first fill and what did the gauge say?

There was an issue with a blown fuse that has to do with the fuel pump. Unsure if related.

Hope it relates to your issue but you don't have the engine dying problem....

First fill was 125
Next fill was 20 litres to confirm thE car was actually full.
Car has been reading just over half full with about 680 km to empty on the computer?
So it seems like a sender unit? Thats if both the tanks have a sender unit in them?

I had the same issue with my 150 as well. It turned out to be a dodgy connecter to the jet pump in main tank so no fuel was being pumped from sub tank.

I got under the back of the car again on the weekend and had a good play around and found a plug not all the way in, I had recently some issues with the brake controller and lights , so not sure if it got disturbed by the auto electricians?

anyway , all good.
