Enabling radio on when vehicle ignition off

Have just purchase a Prado 150 series GXL Diesel 2015 model and was not shown how to get radio on whilst engine is off.
It would be nice to enable this function and cannot gleam this data from the manuals provided.
If someone could help we would be grateful.

Just hit the start button once without your foot on the brake. It turns on all accessories.

On that subject is it possible to turn the chimes off?

I rechecked the manual just prior to dinner and behold I worked it out-what a bonus! Thanks for the replies as it is nice to know that there is help out there.

You can press the door button in just for a few seconds and release it, that will stop the dinging. This however is a better option http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...=Disable+alarm
Did it myself last week and camped over the weekend in peaceful silence. If you want to disable the exterior alarm that goes off if you leave the car in neutral or get out of the car with the key in your pocket etc, you can also undo the door switch and unplug it.

Worst was finding out how to keep accessories running when I turned the vehicle off! I still find it strange that gear selector had to be in any position other than 'P' for the accessories to keep running! Still keep moving it all the way to parking then turning the vehicle off, often disconnecting phone calls via Bluetooth

I found this very odd too. Toyota should have given the option to hold the start/stop button for 3+ Sec and the engine turns off but radio etc keeps going. Its very annoying when listening to something important on the radio and you have just parked the car and want to turn off the engine

If you want to leave radio on and turn the engine off, put into neutral with the radio on, turn engine off and then put into Park. Hey presto...

Touch the start button but no clutch and the accessories come up. Another touch and the ignition comes on but it does not start if the clutch is not depressed. Another touch and it turns all off except the door chime. The cure for this is covered elsewhere.
