  • 60 litre Engel bit too big

My 60 litre Engel car fridge is a bit too big for the Prado (I got it when I had the 200 series). With the 2nd row seats up, it will not fit in long ways so I'm considering flogging it and replacing it with something a bit shorter, a bit narrower and maybe a bit higher. I want a fridge that will fit in long ways without having to fold down the second row. Right now I still occasionally use the 3rd row, may go to a drawer system in the future but for now I'd like to retain the 3rd row. I know the Engel 40 fits, but I'm a bit spoiled with the 60 so something of similar capacity would be preferable. So, what's the general consensus on a good "Prado 150" fridge?

    Thanks

I almost said the same thing haha
I can squeeze our 60L on top of the drawer even with a table on the back door.

Poor 150 owners really lucked out there.

Well when I said it fits I'm hoping it fits I've just received the fridge today but if my calculations and my measurements are correct it will. No drawer underneath though. Haha

I can fit my 80ltr waeco in the rear of my 150! Admittedly it is tighter than the 120 I used to have, but still fits

We have the 60L Engel and it just fits...for our Cape Trip we slid the 2nd row seat just a little forward and it was sweet (handles/tiedown brackets and all)...We had it on the left (passenger side) of the 150...

This. I take both an 80L engel AND a 60L Waeco in the 150 when I go to Fraser. No problems.

If you can't fit a smaller fridge there is something wrong with ya packing.

I can fit a 50 litre evakool in, and even open the lid, with the third row seats in place.

Ok, it's currently doing domestic duties as a beer fridge. My mission (which I accept without hesitation) is to empty it and try it out in the back of the Prado, again. Maybe I did not have the seat fully forward (due grand kid's baby capsule).

I've fit my 80ltr evakool on an MSA drop slide and still have the second row seats up in the 150, with 2 kids chairs in them, and seats 1 notch forward from rearmost position.
What's the actual measurements for your fridge?

No hesitation to remove the beer from the fridge...that doesn't sound right to me!
