  • Runva 11XP Winch on an ARB Deluxe Bar (standard or offset Hawse)

    Hi All,

Firstly, I have tried a search, but have not found a conclusive answer to my question.

I have just purchased a Runva 11XP winch, with Dyneema Rope.

I have an ARB Deluxe Bullbar fitted to a 2013 150 Altitude.

I am wondering if I need an Offset Hawse Fairlead, or a Standard Hawse Fairlead.

I would like to know what Hawse Fairleads other members out there have used with their Runva winches mounted on ARB bars?

    Thanks

    Pog.

        G'day Pog,

I've also just purchased an 11XP Runva for my ARB deluxe bar and have been advised on a few occasions that an offset fairlead is the way to go.

        Cheers

Thanks.... Now I am more confused!

It doesn't look like the rope can rub on the bar.

                  Thanks Craig.

I also read that thread, but with 2 opposing thoughts, I was confused... Again.. The 1st post says offset, and explains it in a way I can nearly understand, and the 3rd post says standard, and shows a picture which I do understand.

I am technically retarded, and am the first to admit it.

I am nearly as confused about these things as I am suspension....

I believe that the Runva comes with a standard Hawse, and I would rather not spend another $50+ on an offset Hawse if I can avoid it.

                  Thanks

                  Pog.

I have just taken a photo of my ARB bar.

It appears as though the holes are more central to the Throat of the bar, so I think the Standard Hawse will be ok.

With the standard Fairlead being OK with the Runva fitted up to my Sahara Bar, I just wasnt happy with the final look so I ended up shelling out for an Offset jobbie which fills the hole better.

                      With Offset Hawse Fairlead...

Ok, I see your point. Your rig looks good.

I also just found this thread... Which took some finding.

                        http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...or-ARB-bullbar

It basically says that a standard Hawse will be ok, as will an offset.

Hey guys I know it's an old thread but my local 4x4 shop told me they could not fit the runva 11xp into a delux bulbar for the 150 . These guys are the biggest and best in town. They are trying to sell me the smittybuilt instead event though they told me how good the runva is. Are they pulling my leg or have others heard the same?
                          Cheers

Is your local "biggest and best in town" store an ARB? They must have a policy to only install winches that they stock on their shelves (Warn & Smittybuilt). I experienced this with 2 stores in Brissie. He Runva will fit up well like most other winches to the deluxe bar. There are quite a few members on here running Runva's. You may need to rotate the gear box end so the free spool lever is positioned where you need and there is a stubby lever available if required... Great winch and happy with mine on my Sahara bar on the 120.
