I had a pleasant surprise when my Galaxy S4 connected to my ICE today and the Text message functionality actually worked. Awesome.....

It politely read my text messages.

Does it work for Iphones?

Apparently I quit being useful a fair while ago according to the wife

Should look at setting this up, can see some fun times getting it to read out certain words and phrases

I used to get SMS message notification on the screen with my S3, but only had this working for a month before it stopped. Not sure f a phone update screwed it or not.

What parameters in the menu do you need to enable? I need to go back and read the (book 3 of 4) multimedia manual

Mine's the same. It read a couple of texts once but nothing since.

Mine has never worked (iPhone6) its connected but refuses to do anything.
Sometimes the hands free even drops out and wont connect until i turn the car on/off again..... pretty much given up on it.

I know that Siri works with my 2013 GXL. I just have to press and hold the home button on my iPhone...and bam! Siri's voice comes over the stereo.
