Missing/ flat spot.. Help! Pls

G'day all
New to this forum, have been looking around, and have found thread which is similar to my problem..
I have noticed a slight miss, every so often, maybe half dozen times or so, in the last 3 or 4 months..
We went down the coast on the weekend, noticed it happen maybe 3 times, thought it feels like getting worse.
On the way home today, coming up the mountains from Pambula, it happened again, and then seemed to get quite bad,
Lasted maybe 30 seconds or more, loss of power, on and off.. Thought I was going to have to pull over..
Then came good, and seemed to run really well, for the rest of the trip home, 2 hours...
Was thinking maybe last service, the fuel line maybe had a bit of air, and has taken a while to clear out,
The few dead spots getting worse over the last couple of months, then today, it cleared itself.. Could this be correct, or
Would it be the ecu needing to be upgraded as I have read it other threads.. It's a 150 d4d with 6 speed manual.. February 2012
Model.. Read in other thread, that they did an upgrade for flat spot issue in about May of that year.. Any help, or suggestions,

I dont know a whole lot, but that doesnt sound like the flat spot issue that others had.
To my uneducated mind that seems more like a fuel issue.

Yeah, I'm thinking maybe a bit of air in the fuel line, hopefully its cleared... It's due for 6 month service in July...
I'll be keeping a close eye on things till then, see if it has anymore missing... Is only just clicking over 40000 km.
Its never had any lights come on the dash, and after that bad missing, it's been running really good.. It's the first diesel
I've had, so not sure what to expect if air in the fuel line... Thanks David.. Cheers

I'm new to the site & was having a look through and spotted your post because i've noticed the same missing issue with my recently purchased 2010 GXL 6 speed manual D4D. Its just clicked on 140km's but has been meticulously maintained.

I've only done 2 trips in it so far and about to head up north in 2 weeks so I will keep an eye on this thread let you know if mine gets worse or better. I'm not too worried about it atm but time will tell, maybe it's a manual thing!
let me know too if anything else happens to yours.
