  • General Pros/Cons of this series

    Hi all,

This is probably going to open a can of worms! But, I have a friend who wants to buy into the Prado scene and has been looking at 2011 models.
He's not 100% on whether he's going to go diesel or petrol yet.
What is this series like? Any maintenance issues? eg timing belts/injectors, or anything else that has been an issue since their release?
    Any info would be great.

    Cheers
    Grant

You need to do a search Grant, plenty of threads on here already on that subject.

Maintenance issues? It's a Toyota, mate - they go for ever.

95,000km and five years and nothing more than Toyota book service.
Unless going to do small kms and not towing, I would go diesel, accelerating with 400nm torque without the fuel gauge dropping like a stone is addictive.
