Hi all

New to forum. I recently got a vx 2011 model. All the bells and whistles have left me with a dilemma. I would like to fit a single drawer system and fride slide to the rear but do not want to remove the electronic third seat row. Any thoughts if there is a market option that allows for that.
It seems the issue is the third seat backings are only ply so no good for screwing into. Therefore hard to support the weight of any slide when fridge extended. I hope that makes sense.

You would fit a false floor and screw the fridge slide to it.

I have made a similar setup to amts. I used 19mm thick marine ply as a base. And used 4 x captive nuts in the channel on the back of the 3rd row seats. I also used the rear rubber cargo mat as a stencil. I cut the plywood about 5mm smaller than the mat all the way around to avoid any rubbing on the interior plastics. Coated it with marine carpet using contact adhesive. ( very slow process to get all edges covered perfectly for a good finish) painful but worth it. I used the 19mm ply so the fridge slide can be screwed into it without any damage to vehicle. Used with engel 40lt on slide with no damage or issues to the rear seats. Only thing to note is rear seats do not sit completely level/flat. Not anything to worry about but something you may not have realised. It is also a good idea to countersink the base mounting bolts/screws so you don't get them caught up on all your gear when you put it in the back. Any other questions just ask! Hope this helps.

I have also added a drawer to the rear setup now. It is secured down via aluminum angle to the 19mm base. I Used it recently for a trip up the beach and it worked really well. I had quite a bit of recovery/heavy gear in the drawer and no dramas with the rear seats supporting it. I only slide out either the drawer or fridge one at a time just incase it's just a bit to much for the electronic seats to handle. By having a drawer as well as fridge and only sliding one out at a time the seats pressure is counter balanced by the drawer which is not be extended. I Will upload pic of the drawer setup soon. The angle used to secure drawer allows me to remove either the drawer setup, fridge setup or both with ease in a matter of minutes. Our car is a city car 90% of the time so we usually just have the flat 19mm base with the rubber cargo mat installed on top. Looking forward to seeing how your setup turns out.

Any pics there Brendo? Looking to do similar to my VX - want a quickish in and out setup - similar to our old 120 series.
