Upholstery wear on 150 GXL

I've noticed the upholstery starting to wear badly on my Prado ( 2014 GXL) and its only 8 month old. I took the kids seats out the other day and indentation marks left look like they will be there forever. Its like the material is not very durable or something and seems to just really wear out.
Is this a common problem ? Should i have gotten seat covers etc? I showed the Toyota dealer and his response was " oh you must have put something on there" , no $hit , its a chair!
Not sure if can get a warranty claim on this or Toyota make bad upholstery.....anyone seen this before?

I had similar problems. Child seats put point loads on the seats which is not what they are designed for. You'd have the same problem with any upholstery.

Seem more rigid than a lot of the cheaper flexible brands. Took mine off today to alter the strapping and not a mark/indentation on/in the 03 'leather'. Indeed I have child mats under all kids seats for this reason and spills etc. The end bit in the http address, not shown, (says seat saver) says it all....

My rear seats had a mark left in them by an esky...that was there for a long weekend...it took about 3 months for the indentation to eventually disappear.
