Error Code - C1452

Hi All,

Had the diagnostics software run on my car today and discovered there is a current issue C1452 -Accumulator Low Pressure.

Anybody had any previous experience with this?

Yes, came up last weekend when the ABS light came on. Took it to Toyota and they could not find any fault. I'm told (not by Toyota) that it is to do with the brake master cylinder. I've had the ABS light come on again this weekend and this time have not cleared any codes, will be going back to Toyota again to see what has come up this time in the codes.

I have the error code however no ABS light or any other warning lights coming up.

Next time it gets a service I will get Toyota to check it out. Last service was only 1500km ago though

Also to add, this was a current code, not historical, car was running for a good 10 min prior to scan.

I don't know if the code mine threw up was historical. One of the guys on our snow run trip last weekend had a diagnostic tool with him and scanned the codes, they were cleared in an attempt to clear the ABS light issue (it didn't). When I took it into Toyota they checked it again and no codes but ran the diagnostics for the codes I reported anyway, they could not find the fault. In my case the light only went out once it was put back into high range (was in low when it happened).

It has come on again in similar circumstances and went out the same way but this time we didn't have a scan tool handy to reset the codes first. I will be curious to see if it has thrown up any codes this time.

Hi Ryan,

did you get anywhere with this error? my car has thrown this error after having some work done on it - brake fluid flush?

Hi Lee,

Just logged in and found this post - no I haven't had my car serviced yet by Toyota however when I get it done (sometime in December) I will ask them about it. Its still running fine with no issues

I found that there was some air in the accumulator, after running through the renew/replacement procedure 4-5 times a small amount of air came out. Error code has not come back. This just bleeds fluid from the rear brakes.

This error code showed up at car service. Mechanic has reset code and said to drive for a couple of weeks to see if re-occurs. He has said accumalator will have to be replaced if it does.
I suggested maybe second hand he has suggested maybe a common problem with Prado and therefore better off new if this is correct. Aparently it was a problem in older series Prado.

Is there any thoughts on this. Second hand units generally $800 to $2000 depending on km. New is around $4000.00.
