  • 80,000 km Service

I am rapidly approaching my 80,000km service (far quicker than I had hoped...), and would like some advice on what I should be emphasizing when I book it in.

From reading this forum I have:
    • Cold Start Injector Readings
    • valve clearnace check - with thickness guage, not by ear.

Plus the obvious rotate tyres etc.

Is there anything else I should be specifically asking for?

    Cheers,

Replace the under bonnet fuel filter. I wouldn't worry about the valve clearances until it needs injectors. They very rarely need adjusting on an engine with 80K on it. My service schedule (which many will agree with) doesn't worry about valve clearances until injectors are required, but changes the fuel filter ever 40,000. Saves money and is better for the engine.

If you get it done at a Toyota dealer you wont have to ask for anything. They have it all laid out what to do and its pretty comprehensive . Will cost you around $1200 Usually involves taking it in the night before so they can do a cold start test. I have had 80 thou and just recently 120 thou services done

I'll add the fuel filter to the list

It will be dealer services (through my lease). Im confident Toyota will do everything, but just want to emphasize the important bits.
