  • Black wheels for 2015 Prado GXL

I've just bought a 2015/2016 Prado. Get it in 2 weeks I saw a Prado Altitude and it had black wheels which looked really good, I'd love some. I spoke to the dealer about it and he said not to bother - $1200 per wheel! Is that right? What are the wheels called? Any other cheaper options out there?

I think they are the same design as the GXL wheels, just get them painted black.

Could just Plastidip them until you do a tyre change then get them painted?

I agree, see alliance rim repairs in malaga, they fixed mine and painted for $180. I think painting will be a lot cheaper

The TRD Pro wheels of the 4runner would look great on the Prado or something like this. Click image for larger version

They look a bit like fuel hostages, but without the stupid shinny circles towards the outside. Any ideas on the name of those wheels?

Just get them painted - recently got mine sprayed in statin black by a place call Onsite Alloy Repair. Looks very nice and very durable (got really bogged literally 3 days after getting done, not a scratch). Cost was $399 for all 5.

Had mine done pre delivery. Not black but a very dark gun metal metallic. No issues except when I had ATs put on. Got a little scratched on he inside when they removed the old weights.

How about some Advanti mambas, or black rhino series? I have lenso's on mine. My neighbour paints his wheels and they fade and peel after a few months in the sun. It's a bit of a rough attempt to look good after spending money on a new car
