50 Prado 50mm Econo Lift Kit

Hi Guys,

Quick question in regards the 50 Prado 50mm Econo Lift Kit from SnakeR or in general about a 2" lift kit using just spacers.

It's true that by lifting your Prado 150 2" you'll get alignment issues ?

You'll need an alignment, not sure what alignment issues you're referring to.

The biggest issue with using spacers solely for a 2" lift is bent struts. Other issue is that it's not legal.

So don't do it as it will cost you more down the track.

It may be legal is San Jose, California?

But still a very bad idea to lift 2" with a spacer.

Thanks for you replies. The alignment issues I'm referring to, are that after installing these 2" spacers, the tires will wear out uneven, what do you guys think about it ?

Most people lift their cars with spacers only. Personally, i wouldnt do it and invest in a proper kit.
Only using spacers causes some serious suspension stress that affects handling and suspension parts longevity, specially at the front.

I have installed a few lift kits to Prados.
With 40-50mm lift, you don't "NEED" an alignment, tyres will wear fine & it will drive well.

But you can get an alignment if you like, either way it's only a problem if you get a bad alignment, easy to do.
Use coils for your lift not spacers.
You can put coils on the stock struts if your being cheap.
