Prado 2015 Mechanical key entry

Hi All

Battery for my 2015 prado has gone flat. I am trying to use mechanical key to open the driver door but its not working. Could some one please help and explain me why is itsnt working?

Try turning the other way? Works fine on ours.

Can be hard to turn if it hasnt been used recently cos it has small head
