OK, here's the (minor) problem. The dash display thermometer has gone haywire. It consistently shows between six to twelve degrees hotter than it actually is. It worked fine for the first six months but then went silly. Now, here's the rub. I had a PWR transmission cooler fitted, could this be the cause? Is there a sensor at the front that measures the air temp? It's not an earth shattering problem but I'd just like to know if anyone else has had similar problems.

The ambient temperature sensor is located right behind the Toyota/Radiator grille and in front of the radiator.
Take it out, clean it, clean the contacts and plug it back in and check if that works. -

I dont know and have never seen a transmission cooler since those mods are not common here so i can't comment but if it is close to the sensor then it is definitely possible it is affecting the readings.Originally posted by Julian Kaye View Post
