  • Underbody protection/bash plates

I had a bit of a search in this forum, but didn't come up with much - what is everybody running as far as underbody protection/bash plates?
    Anyone made their own/got drawings?
I've had a look at a few options online, but I was surprised how pricey they can be.
I have access to good pricing on aluminium/steel and laser cutting. Maybe I should draw something up...

Mine came with the car and are pretty rough, they just look like cut bits of sheet metal done at home and drilled, it's all starting to crack and stuff
hopefully in the next couple of weeks i will get stronger ones for transmission and fuel tank, and one that has Prado laser cut into it for the very front
i agree though, they are quite dear
got a quote from ARB of about $500
Have other things on top of the to do list to spend that money on haha

When you know how much the plate and laser cutting is worth, there seems to be a pretty decent margin in most of them
I know the feeling - I definitely want a lift and proper side steps before the plates, but will sort them out if I can do it cheap enough
      So hard to prioritise...

Might have a better look underneath over the weekend to see exactly what's involved

If Tin has stock do it sooner, the factory plates are made from tinfoil, Coke cans (the thick bits) and papier-mâché.

                  Haha no worries

How do these go with material accumulation on top of the plates? Any worse than the standard ones?
