  • Seat height adjustment

I have 8 months left before my 5 year extended warranty runs out so am going through things that need fixing before it expires. Picked up a couple of minor oil leaks at last service and slack in driver seat belt tensioner which dealer has acknowledged and will fix.

One thing that I reported at last service was that I thought I was getting a slow sag in the height of the seat adjustment. Dealer hadn't heard of this before. I have the 2012 Altitude which has similar seats to the GXL in terms of adjustment. Obviously the seat position and back angle are mechanical & lock whereas the height adjustment is pumped up.

I'm convinced that I'm getting some gradual drop in height over time. It's not big but enough to be noticeable, like I have to pump it back up again every week or so. It's not a continuous sag but a small drop that stabilises.

Anybody have any ideas regarding this?

My 2010 GXL does it too. Ask to Borrow the dealers watch and put it under the seat for a week if there's any reluctance to fix it.
