  • Front Recovery Points + ECB Big Tube

    Hi All

Just wondering if anyone had installed front recovery points on their 150 with an ECB big tube bullbar installed?

I need to get some but all the bolt holes are used by the bullbar?

Bit of a n00b to it all

    Cheers

    Craig

I fitted recovery points last weekend, had to remove arb bullbar to fit them but they do come with new longer bolts, wasn't a hard job to do but I had an engine crane so just held it up with a sling, took about 2 hours.

Mounting amts or roadsafe recovery points should take about 15mins either side providing you have the clearance. The First One will take a while where you need to figure out the right angles for the wire screws, byt after that it's smooth sailing. Provided you have the clearance.

When my OL bar was fitted, they had to grind away at the bar to sump bash plate to make it fit. They didn't do it the first time around. I asked them to do it on another appointment after I found the points sitting in the back of my car. The local OL shop did a shit job.

Got a real shop to fix the dodgy work (and fix other bad installation woes with the original shop) and now theyre great.

OL is good gear. But don't go to quenbeyan. Theyre amateurs. I say that with confidence. Shame really.

I'll take a photo during daylight to show you the clearances required.

It won't take 15min because that nut with the wire attached has to go up the inside of the chassis rail which is covered by the bullbar attachment brachetd so bull bar has to come off and no way that can be done in 15min.

The nut with the wire can be hooked out further aft on the chassis. Bull bar removal is not required.
