  • Where did you mount Anderson plug?

Hi all, pretty new on here but been reading for a while now. We took delivery of our 2016 GXL in July, loving it so far.

We have a camper trailer and I was just in the process of running cable to install an Anderson plug today, until I thought where the heck am I going to mount it?!

So I'm looking for ideas. There's no room on the towbar where the trailer plug is, so wondering what others have done?

    Cheers!

G'day mate, I have the standard towbar with the trailer plug taking up all the space on the plate. So I bolted a wider plate to that (piece of slotted sheet from Bunnies) and then the 2 plugs onto that.

Thanks for that idea, I think I have some of that type of metal in the garage from a previous project! I'll take a look tomorrow

Finished it off today, it's not perfect but I think it's not too bad. Wanted it to look good because it's our new car so anyway I'll upload some pictures

I bought a small stainless steel plate from a boating shop - the plate is sold as a mirror for boats.

I bought a powder coated bracket off eBay to do exactly this, has holes to suit the trailer vision housing or just a plain Anderson plug. I went the trailer vision housing, but the front door of it was mysteriously smashed off within 2 days of me installing it.. Thinking one of the kids may have caught a school bag on it or something.
