  • Summer fuel consumption

    Hi, I have two questions:
1, Does the the number of fuel consumption on the dash includes fuel used by air-con?
2, I find it easy for me to get tired when driving recently, even leave the recirculate air button off. Anyone knows what problem it can be? The only change I make is having done a outback trip and fit a bullbar, and the car' air conditioner filter has been changed during the 30000km service.

It's simply a forward projection based on current average fuel economy x amount left in tank (excluding reserve, hence the phrase 'cruising range' not total range). If you have driven 300Kms with the Air Con on, then the range would assume it is going to be left on.

If you are finding that you get tired driving long distances, and in the past you did not, I would look at human factors first. Are you sleeping okay, change in caffeine use, new bed, stress levels up, iron deficiency etc. all explain your symptoms better than adding a bullbar and changing the air filter. Having said that, the Oz outback red dust can get into everything and clog up vents that might allow stale air out of the car.
