Nailed another noise last night, (another that's been lurking since new..)
From day one, I've had this subtle creak coming from the centre console, seat belt, seat, cig, who knows where! sounding like a squeaking old bridge.. One of those noises that nobody else can hear of course..
Anyway, it became more noticeable over the past few weeks and I've been able to reproduce it by kneeing the console while driving along. Last night, the conditions (moon, humidity etc) seemed to be perfect for noise hunting, so I pulled over and got down real close.. and found it..! It's the shift lock button.
Noise gone. That's just about all of them sorted now.

the lube wore off after a few days. I ended up jamming a tiny bit of sponge in the gap between the button and the console - all the way in so it can't be seen. Seems to be fixed permanently now.
