Mate did you brought the unit the one you mention from ebay. If that i am afraid it will not work with toyota. first to start the prado you need a button on your remote. Which we dont have on our prado's remote. If remote is coming in the kit than how will you program the lexus remote to toyota. Second you need to program the actual unit from Lexus as per the description after fitting in Lexus it need to program from Lexus. So how will you get program to Toyota. I dont think so Lexus will do it. Toyota wouldnt as they dont have this module here. May be i am wrong. I have the software to program that's not the issue. The issue is there's no connection for the unit. No I won't be going ahead with purchase. Also the FOB key will work as its a sequence of the lock button. Not a seperate button to start the car.Originally posted by Skprado View Post

Cool. These units are availble in middle east countires. How they work is press the remote lock button 3 times the car will start for 15 mintune. But once it unlock the engine will be off. And than to start it use the normal process. I dont think so its worth it coz car have to start it again. They are around $250(Aus$). I was going to buy the unit from there when i went there for holidays. It will work here as well. The wiring is same. All the wiring are clip in and are around the streeing wheel. From what I've found the unit installs in the passenger side. All the engine management computers are on the passenger side as well. Where did you get the information from or is that just a guess ?Originally posted by Skprado View Post

From what i'va found n checked how it works. There are other BCM driver side if you remove the knee airbag you will see what i am talking about. Here i am about toyota prado unit not lexus unit. If you remove that part there is BCM with three connectors. The middle one you need for remore start. Than there is black connector for horn top of yellow connector and there is another black one directional lock connector. And than there is some programming on the module itself. The only reason i left the module prado have to start again once its unlock. Its same in factory toyota remote start in USA.Pearl white kakadu rolling on fuel hostage 18" with 285 60 18Comment

When i start reading this thread it was already on 2 pages. Sorry my bad. I dont have picture to support it. But i did told you where n how it fit. To conform it you can check if you remove the trim under the steering wheel. You will find everything there. I dont know who is the maker but yes they can buy over there and using them as well.And also if you think lexus one will fit please try it. Dont take my words. I am just letting you know what i know when i did search for this unit and thats all. Yes it is but it does work with factory remote. All of the other module mirror closer unit and speed auto lock are aftermarket which work very well. I got both of them and i am happy with them. This is only option(i think) for prado for remote start. It is cheap than paying like Ve SS remote start $500??. I was thinking to put in my HSV before prado. Price tag stop me. Yes i bought from ebay last week and it works like u say.
It starts engine from inside house with heater on in morning is great.
It starts from the orginal remote by pressing lock 3x.
takes around 45minutes to install and its just plug n play no cutting wires. There’s few seconds delay after u press lock 3x before it starts.
